Sally's unique illustrative style is influenced by 1930's textiles, simple cut-out silhouettes and the beauty found in everyday objects.

Her background is in printed textiles having previously designed for both British and International labels. Her designs have graced the British High Street and Milan catwalks alike.

She started Small Red Bird after stopping work to start her family. She says it felt like a very natural next step as she had always made her own cards, the most difficult bit was choosing the name, which in the end chose itself as the small red bird kept popping up in her cards.

Sally lives on the edge of London with her husband, two young children and ancient black labrador.
